Many major cities have a second airport. Stockholm has Bromma, and other major cities in Europe also have a city airport. We serve as a base for many operations that are important to the region but which may not be suited to a major airport, for example, planes for the air ambulance, the Swedish Coast Guard, the Police, the Rescue Services, etc.

We are close to the city centre, just 15 km, the airport coach takes just 20 minutes. As we have less traffic, most things happen a little faster. That is why many business and air taxi services come to us. We have the resources and many years of experience to give them a little extra VIP service.

Finally, Göteborg City is also the place to learn to fly. We have two flying clubs offering training for private pilot licences as well as advanced training for commercial pilots and helicopter certificates.

Once upon a time we started as a purely military airport. For many years we were threatened with closure. Today the future looks bright. The inhabitants and companies in Western Sweden value our presence and the responsible way in which we are expanding!
